Breathtaking 1909-S VDB, MS64 Red
1909-S VDB 1C MS64 Red PCGS. This is a breathtaking S-VDB example for a piece that is "only" a near-Gem. Effusive luster radiates from surfaces that possess a medley of yellow-gold, mint-green, and crimson color. A solid strike sharpens the design elements, with none revealing even a hint of weakness. A couple of unobtrusive handling marks in the right obverse field, and some tiny inoffensive flecks in the upper reverse field, might be all separating this gorgeous specimen from full Gem status. Worthy of serious consideration!(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22B2, PCGS# 2428, GSID# 1801)
