Description

1911-D Cent, MS66 Red
Classic Burnt-Orange Coloration

1911-D 1C MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. This first D-mint cent is more elusive than generally thought in this high grade, where PCGS has seen only 21 submissions with one finer (3/14). The burnt-orange color on brightly lustrous surfaces is typical, and the obverse shows some die fatigue around the date and mintmark area. A few light flecks appear in the left obverse field; the reverse is trouble-free.(Registry values: N2998)
