Description

Sharp 1912-D Cent, MS66 Red

1912-D 1C MS66 Red PCGS. The 1912-D, with a mintage of 4.431 million pieces, is a semi-key date in the Lincoln cent series. David Lange, in The Complete Guide to Lincoln Cents, says: "... choice and gem examples having original, fully red or even red/brown color are scarce and always in demand."
Original orange-gold luster exudes from both sides of this Red Premium Gem, and an attentive strike leaves crisp definition on the design elements, including the bow tie and lines in the wheat stalks. A couple of tiny light flecks are noted, but these do not disturb. Population: 8 in 66 Red, 0 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)
