Description
Sharply Struck 1913 Cent, MS67 Red
One of the Five Finest Certified
1913 1C MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. While the 1913 Philadelphia
issue is available in all Mint State grades, full red Gems are in
limited supply, and when found, are seldom fully struck. The
present Superb Gem reveals an even golden-orange color over flashy
mint luster. Its design features are boldly impressed, portraying
excellent detail on Lincoln's hair, beard, and bow tie, and in the
wheat stalks. Impeccably preserved surfaces are virtually devoid of
any abrasions or carbon spots. A couple of almost invisible toning
spots are noted in the lower reverse field. Population: 5 in 67
Red, none finer. NGC has yet to grade any this high (2/12).From The Streich Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
