    Description

    1913-D Cent, MS66 Red
    None Graded Finer

1913-D 1C MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. Slightly more than a dozen submissions of the 1913-D Lincoln cent have achieved the Premium Gem Red grade, likely including a few duplications, the finest survivors from the original mintage exceeding 15.8 million coins. This piece offers blatant eye appeal over blazing orange-red surfaces. The strike is sharp on the obverse yet sharper on the reverse, and contact marks are scarcely visible on either side. The Superb Gem grade is precluded on this piece only by a couple of smallish carbon spots, one on the lower bust and one in the left obverse field below the T of LIBERTY. An extremely appealing coin, and perhaps an opportunity for a Registry Set collector. Population: 15 in 66 Red, 0 finer (6/13).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 22BE, PCGS# 2464)

    Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
