Description

1913-D Lincoln Cent, MS67 Red
Registry-Grade Example

1913-D 1C MS67 Red NGC. The 1913-D is an elusive issue in Mint State with the Red designation. Despite a mintage over 15.8 million coins, it is challenging in Gem, and finer pieces in Red are scarce. This remarkable Superb Gem is the sole finest 1913-D in Red at NGC. There are no numerically finer examples known, although PCGS reports two Red coins in MS67 and one in MS67+ (12/25). This is our first introduction to this piece, and the razor-sharp details and lustrous copper-red surfaces clearly define the hefty grade.(Registry values: N4719)
