Description
Lustrous MS64 Red and Brown 1914-D Cent
1914-D 1C MS64 Red and Brown ANACS. Like many Mint State examples of this key date, the surfaces are actually a pinkish-red with blue on the high points of the obverse. The reverse is a more consistent orange-red with sprinkles of brown, but both sides offer much appeal. Several different mintmark positions are known for the issue, and this piece is one with the mintmark fairly close to the date. The good luster more than compensates for a few minor obverse flecks that appear under a loupe. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22BH, PCGS# 2472, GSID# 1827)
