Description

Razor-Sharp Gem Brown 1914-D Cent

1914-D 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. Blue and violet prevail on this Gem Brown 1914-D cent, with the characteristic placement of the D mintmark in a "hollow" positioned low and left that some particularly well-struck examples such as the current piece show. The details on this coin are razor-sharp, and while that is not that uncommon on a 1914-D, it is uncommon for many mintmarked issues of the teens and a nice trait on a key-date cent. A single small carbon fleck near the lower reverse rim is of little importance. For a delightful challenge, try assembling a nice Gem Brown collection of Lincoln Wheat cents up to 1934. Population: 10 in 65 Brown, 0 finer (8/11).(Registry values: N4719)
