Description

1914-D Cent, MS66 Brown
Among the Finest Brown Coins Certified

1914-D 1C MS66 Brown PCGS. The 1914-D is a key date in all grades, although it is rarest in Premium Gem condition. PCGS lists 19 pieces in this grade across all color designations and none are numerically finer. These include six Brown coins, four Red and Brown, and nine Red (one of which is Plus-graded) (12/24). NGC lists a slightly smaller MS66 population, also with no coins finer. The present example is razor-sharp and deeply toned with olive and burgundy hues. The satiny mint luster shows no distracting abrasions and yields a luminous shimmer when tilted beneath a light. An important offering for the advanced collector of Lincoln cents.
