Description

1914-S Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
Sharp Strike, Original Color

1914-S 1C MS65 Red and Brown NGC. This important Gem cent displays significant Mint-red color throughout both sides, supplemented by cobalt-blue and umber overtones on the raised elements and across the open, nearly unmarked fields. The strike is pleasingly sharp throughout. Even today, the 1914-S remains one of the storied branch mint rarities in the Lincoln cent series -- especially at the MS65 level. This original and attractive example is sure to elicit strong bids. Census: 25 in 65 Red and Brown, 3 finer (9/17).(Registry values: N4719)
