Elusive in Full Red

1915-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. While Uncirculated 1915-S cents are seen with some frequency, the vast majority are toned, as evident by the PCGS population report showing about 1,100 Brown and Red and Brown examples in mint condition. On the other hand, the service has seen fewer than 90 Mint State Red specimens. Reddish-orange luster cascades over the well-struck surfaces of this Gem offering. A nicely preserved piece. Population: 27 in 65 Red, 5 finer (4/14).(Registry values: N2998)
