Description

1915-S Cent, MS66 Red
Glossy, Textured Surfaces

1915-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. The 1915-S is among the more challenging Lincoln cents to acquire in high-end Red grades. Red coins are scarce in any condition, but they are particularly rare in MS66. No finer pieces are reported. This Premium Gem displays satiny mint luster with a subtle glossy appearance. Mattelike texture is apparent beneath a loupe. The coin is fully struck and displays integrated peach-gold and pale rose-gold hues over unabraded surfaces. Eye appeal is pleasing. PCGS and NGC combined report only a dozen 1915-S cents this fine. The coin offered here could easily upgrade the 1915-S slot in two of the top five current PCGS Registry Sets. Population: 10 in 66 Red, 0 finer (3/19).
