    Description

1916 1C MS67 Red and Brown NGC. CAC. One of just three Superb Gem Red and Brown pieces at NGC and the only 1916 cent in this grade with CAC endorsement. A major rarity. This piece displays beautiful, softly frosted copper-orange luster with the faintest traces of chestnut tinting. A tiny speck above the LI in LIBERTY is the only discernible sign of carbon, and the only mentionable strike weakness occurs on the obverse rim above TRUST. Eye appeal is outstanding. Housed in a prior generation holder with CAC approval. Census: 3 in 67 (1 in 67 ), 0 finer. CAC: 1 in 67, 0 finer (4/21).(Registry values: N991)
