Description

1916-S Lincoln Cent, MS65+ Red
CAC Approved Registry Set Essential

1916-S 1C MS65+ Red PCGS. CAC. Mintage of Lincoln cents increased to more than 22.5 million pieces in 1916 at the San Francisco Mint. Despite the large production total, the 1916-S remains rare at the MS65 grade level, with the Red designation, and finer coins are virtually unobtainable. This Plus-graded Gem exhibits razor-sharp definition on all design elements and the well-preserved original red surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster from both sides. The fields display a fine-grained mattelike texture and overall eye appeal is terrific. Population: 28 in 65 (1 in 65+) Red, 0 finer. CAC: 8 in 65, 0 finer (3/20).(Registry values: N2998)
