Description
Fully Struck 1916-S Cent, MS65 Red
1916-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. While lower grade and less-than-Red coins are available, full red Gem 1916-S cents are rarities among early Lincoln cent issues. This piece has even, rich red color on the obverse, the reverse is slightly mellowed by the trace of a fingerprint. The strike is absolutely full, not a given for a 1916-S, and the surfaces have an attractive mattelike texture common to many cents from the teens. Population: 22 in 65 Red, 0 finer (3/12).From The Streich Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
