Description

Exquisite 1918 Cent, MS67 Red

1918 1C MS67 Red NGC. With 288 million plus pieces produced, one has to wonder why no more than a mere handful of coins were saved in Superb Red condition. NGC has certified a mere two MS67 Red pieces and none finer (8/08). The surfaces have a warm reddish glow with just a touch of lilac over the portrait of Lincoln. There are no obvious abrasions on either side and the coin displays the finely granular texture often seen. The design elements are exquisitely brought up.(Registry values: N1793)
