Description

1918-D Cent, MS65+ Red
Deep Original Color

1918-D 1C MS65+ Red PCGS. CAC. The 1918-D Lincoln cent is challenging in full Red grades, and is rarely seen at the Gem level of that category. This Plus-designated example displays glowing satin surfaces with deep-orange color and only a few minute ticks. Carbon is not immediately obvious. Well struck with minimal evidence of die erosion. Population: 53 in 65 (14 in 65+) Red, 12 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 3 finer (4/21).
Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2015), lot 3246; Summer FUN Signature (Heritage, 7/2016), lot 3752.
