Description
1918-D Cent, MS66 Red and Brown
The Only Coin So Graded at Both Services
1918-D 1C MS66 Red and Brown NGC. CAC. David Lange states of
the 1918-D: "Despite the enormous number coined, Mint State pieces
pieces do not survive in abundance." A true understatement when one
examines the number of Mint State pieces in the Red and Brown
category: 1. That is one piece in MS66 Red and Brown at both
services. This is a magnificent coin whose cherry-red surfaces have
mellowed slightly and taken on emerald-green accents around the
margins. Sharply struck.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22BW, PCGS# 2508, Greysheet# 1851)
Weight: 3.11 grams
