Description

1918-D Lincoln Cent, MS66 Red
Razor-Sharp Strike

1918-D 1C MS66 Red PCGS. Ex: Jerald L. Martin Collection. Worn and widely spaced dies contribute to the notorious lack of detail normally found among 1918-D Lincoln cents. However, there are exceptions to that rule, including this impressive Premium Gem and the sole finest MS67 Red representative we are also offering as part of this sale. Like that coin, this piece presents needle-sharp detail on Lincoln's portrait, the wheat sheaves, and the legends on each side. Satiny copper-orange surfaces are finely textured and virtually free of contact. There is a single speck below the S in TRUST that identifies this Registry coin. Population: 9 in 66 Red, 1 finer (11/18).
From The Jerald L. Martin Collection. (Registry values: N2998)
