Description

Beautiful 1918-S Lincoln, MS65 Red

1918-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Tawny coppery-gold with a few hints of fire-red at the borders and olive on the reverse. Well struck, lovely, and pleasing, with a bold date and mintmark. Lincoln's coat, beard, and hair are all well brought up. On the reverse the wheat ears are full, with weakness on a couple of letters of E PLURIBUS UNUM, as so often found. A few flyspecks noted with a glass detract nothing from this lovely and rare S-mint Lincoln. None finer has been graded at PCGS. Population: 15 in 65, 0 finer (9/08).
