Description

Challenging 1919-D Cent MS65 Red

1919-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Impressive cartwheel sheen dominates this nicely struck and unabraded Gem. Radiant pumpkin-gold fields occasionally cede to olive or rose shades. Like so many branch mint issues from the teens, the 1919-D is difficult to find in such exemplary quality. Population: 56 in 65 Red, 12 finer (7/08).
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2007), lot 1784, which realized $4,025.
