Description

Choice Red 1923-S Lincoln Cent

1923-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS. The low mintage of 8.7 million pieces caused collectors to save this date in the 1930s, making circulated examples only somewhat scarce in the context of the series. However, Choice Red specimens are seldom encountered. The present coin displays problem-free Red fields and intense visual appeal. The strike is a little soft on Lincoln's hair, as nearly always seen on this issue. Population: 60 in 64 Red, 16 finer (8/10).
