Description
Magnificent MS67 Red 1924 Cent
1924 1C MS67 Red PCGS. While the 1924 Lincoln cent is readily accessible through Red Gem grades, thanks to a mintage of more than 75 million pieces, MS66 Red coins show constrained availability, and at the MS67 Red level, the date is conditionally rare. The present piece is one of just five such coins graded by PCGS with none finer (8/10), and as such, it is a valuable potential acquisition for the Registry collector. Rich copper-gold and orange luster lends this sharply struck piece a lively air, and only a few tiny and subtle flecks appear on essentially unmarked surfaces. A small planchet flake on Lincoln's shoulder can serve as a future pedigree marker.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22CC, PCGS# 2551, GSID# 1768)
