Description

1926-S Lincoln Cent, MS64 Red and Brown
Few Certified Finer

1926-S 1C MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Ex: Teich Family Collection. A splendid, strongly struck example of this scarce date, which had a relatively small mintage of just over 4.5 million pieces. Seasoned collectors of Lincoln cents gravitate toward attractive Red and Brown examples, drawn to the original "skin" of the coin and the natural interplay between the red and brown hues. This example is exceptional in that regard, with fiery red accents merging with brown-copper surfaces. Lustrous surfaces show only a few tiny abrasions, none of them significant.
