Description

1926-S Lincoln Cent, MS64 Red
Low-Mintage Condition Rarity

1926-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS. Only 4.5 million pieces were struck of the 1926-S, but the issue's key-date status derives not only from its low mintage. This issue is also a condition and color rarity with very few full Red, high-grade pieces certified. This is a particularly pleasing, well-struck example that has lovely copper-orange coloration, softly frosted luster, and few imperfections. A faint partial print on the lower reverse is the only mentionable blemish. Population: 70 in 64 (1 in 64+) Red, 2 finer (2/15).
