Description

1926-S Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
Famous Conditional Rarity

1926-S 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Lincoln cent Registry collectors know that the 1926-S is a low mintage and little-saved key date in Red Mint State. Just four coins at PCGS are graded MS65 Red (10/23), and those coins are out of the price range for most advanced numismatists. Gems are obtainable in Red and Brown condition, and knowledgeable collectors aspire to obtain examples as close to full Red as possible. The present Gem displays extensive rose-red color, with a few subtle gray freckles on the lower reverse denying the coveted full Red assessment.(Registry values: N4719)
