Description

1929 Cent, Copper-Red MS67
Nearly Perfect Surfaces

1929 1C MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. Among early Lincoln cents, the 1929 is one of the most frequently encountered with full red surfaces and in high grades. The original mintage of 185+ million explains that in part, but the 1929 was also a well-produced issue. This piece shows why. The even copper-red surfaces only show variance in color on the high points of the obverse where it is pale lilac. The strike is strong and there are no mentionable defects on either side, other than a small planchet flake on the reverse above the N in CENT. Population: 47 in 67 Red, 0 finer (3/12).
