Description
1929 Cent, MS67 Red
Extraordinary Quality, Full Color, Carbon-Free
1929 1C MS67 Red PCGS. Advanced Lincoln cent collectors know
certain early dates, especially P-mints, are "common"--dates such
as 1926, 1919, and 1929. But the word common has to have quotes
around it because truly Superb Gem examples such as this one are
anything but common, especially when one weighs the number of
Lincoln cent collectors against the tiny percentage of such coins
available. Only 43 other pieces have been so graded by PCGS, and
none have been certified finer by either of the major services
(1/10). This is an amazing coin. The surfaces retain the original,
unmellowed yellow-orange-red the piece had in 1929. We can locate
no carbon on either side, and the surfaces are essentially free
from any post-striking impairments. Simply amazing
quality.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22CU, PCGS# 2596, GSID# 1783)
