Description

1929-S/S 1C FS-501 MS66 Red PCGS. Fivaz and Stanton describe this rare variety as "tough to locate in any grade." The secondary S mintmark is visible north of the primary impression. We offered an MS65 Red example in our August 2012 Philadelphia Signature sale, which realized $2,585.00. This Premium Gem is clearly finer. Well-preserved copper-gold surfaces are brightly lustrous and strongly defined. Possibly the finest known.
