Description

1930-S Lincoln Cent, MS67 Red
None Numerically Finer

1930-S 1C MS67 Red PCGS. Any 1930-S Lincoln cent as fine as MS67 Red is a rarity, especially in a PCGS holder. None are numerically finer (12/25). We have seen only a handful of these top-grade coins in recent years. The most recent was the Whispering Pines piece in our January 2025 FUN Signature, which realized $14,400.

The current top-grade piece displays bright, luminous copper-orange and golden mint luster, complementing a bold strike from relatively fresh dies. Only the usual softness on the top of the O in ONE is noted, which is opposite the high point of Lincoln's shoulder and almost never well defined. Perhaps a few microscopic pepper specks will serve as pedigree markers, but no other blemishes of note are seen. PCGS Population: 15 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N491)
