Description

1931-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Apparently fated to always live in the shadow of the 1931-S, the 1931-D is a scarce issue (some would say scarcer than the '31-S) in Gem condition and with full red color, as seen here. The surfaces are rich cherry-red with lilac shadings intermingled, and there is a smudge of darker color at the top of the reverse.(Registry values: N991)
