1931-D 1C MS66 Red NGC. This generally plentiful Denver issue is conditionally scarce in MS66 with original Red color. The current coin displays luminous, satiny copper-red surfaces and sharply struck design elements. Remarkably few marks or traces of carbon are discernible beneath a loupe. Finer Red examples are major rarities. Census: 9 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red, 3 finer (2/24).(Registry values: N1793)
