    Famous 1936 Cent, MS66 Red
    Doubled Die Obverse, Type One

1936 1C Doubled Die Obverse Type One MS66 Red PCGS. FS-101, formerly FS-014. Arguably the most famous of the several prominent doubled die obverse varieties for the 1936 cent, distinguished by a bold north-south spread on the letters of TRUST, but prominently doubled on all peripheral lettering and the date. The present Premium Gem is a great representative of this Guide Book-listed variant, freshly lustrous with unturned copper-gold surfaces and only a handful of trifling flaws. A top-notch piece for the Registry collector assembling a With Varieties set. Population: 5 in 66 Red, 1 finer (10/08).
