1942-D 1C MS67 Red PCGS. Blazing cherry-red fields are well preserved on this Superb Gem, another of the highest graded by PCGS. This coin boasts a full strike, with all letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE CENT bold--an uncommon occurrence even on many Superb Gems. A solitary toning fleck is on the reverse at 8 o'clock. PCGS has only graded two coins higher than the present example.
