    Description

Technically Superb 1942-S Lincoln Cent MS68 Red PCGS

1942-S 1C MS68 Red PCGS. This golden-red coin is the epitome of technical quality. There are no mentionable surface blemishes, and the strike displays a sharpness that is not often seen on Lincoln cents from the San Francisco Mint. One of just two pieces to be graded as MS68 Red, by PCGS, with none finer. No '42-S Lincoln cent has been certified any higher than MS67 Red, by NGC. A memorable and seemingly unimprovable example of the type, and sure to elicit a strong winning bid. Population: 2 in 68 Red, 0 finer at either service (11/05).
