The San Francisco Mint was occupied striking coins for the Philippines and various foreign countries in early 1945, reducing the mintage of Lincoln cents to 181 million pieces, more than 100 million fewer coins than the year before. This spectacular MS68 example exhibits impeccably preserved original red surfaces, with vibrant mint luster and a sharp strike. Overall eye appeal is outstanding.
