Description

1951 Cent, MS67 Red
Interesting Silver Centers

1951 1C MS67 Red PCGS. This is an interesting coin with an unusual surface texture and color, deep brick-red at the margins of each side with silvery (yes) centers, particularly on the reverse, where some parallel die striations are quite prominent under a loupe. This seems to be a Mint-caused effect, but we are at a loss as to how it was produced. Population: 12 in 67 Red, 0 finer (7/13).(Registry values: N491)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22F3, PCGS# 2788, Greysheet# 2003)
