Description

1953 Cent, MS67 Red
Registry Set Contender

1953 1C MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. An available date in full Red Gem condition, the 1953 Lincoln cent suddenly becomes rare at the MS67 Red grade level, where PCGS has certified only 15 pieces, with none finer (8/15). This representative, showing frosty coppery-orange and pinkish luster, also ranks numerically equal to the coin in the current highest-rated Registry Set. The usual soft points, around the O in ONE and the finer details of the obverse portrait, are not full brought up, though the surfaces appear to be void of carbon spotting.(Registry values: N991)
