Description

1953-D Lincoln Cent, MS67+ Red
Registry-Grade Example

1953-D 1C MS67+ Red PCGS. The 1953-D is another date in the Lincoln cent series that is somewhat available in MS67 Red, at both major grading services, but quickly becomes a condition rarity when the Plus designation is assigned. This example displays boldly struck devices on lively copper-orange mint luster, free of noticeable carbon spots. Eye appeal is magnificent, and while both PCGS and NGC report other Plus-Graded Superb Gems in Red, there are no finer pieces reported at either service (12/25).(Registry values: N491)
