Description
Originally Preserved 1955/55 Doubled Die Cent
1955/55 1C Doubled Die MS 64 Red and Brown PCGS. Both sides of this coin are free of grade-limiting abrasions, and the obverse has the look of a full Gem grade. There are, however, a few trivial carbon spots on the reverse that account for the MS 64 designation, but we stress that these features are well concealed beneath rich glossy-brown patina. As befits the color designation, both sides also possess ample orange-red luster. In sum, this is a high quality representative of this perennially popular error cent. From the Patrick J. Mullen Collection.
