FS-101, MS61 Brown
1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS61 Brown NGC. The
wide spread of the doubling seen on the date, LIBERTY and the motto
of ensures the FS-101 a prominent place among modern die varieties.
The strike is typical with slightly blunt details on Lincoln's
bust, but the doubled 1955 and lettering are bold. Glossy
chocolate-brown surfaces retain bits of original dust that attest
to its authenticity. Light abrasions and minor carbon spots on the
cheek, the shoulder and within ONE CENT account for the grade.
