1955 Doubled Die Obverse Cent
FS-101, MS62 Brown

1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS62 Brown CACG. Ex: WitterBrick. The doubling on the date, LIBERTY, and the motto are boldly presented on this 1955 doubled die obverse MS62 Lincoln cent. Chestnut-brown patina accompanies faded hues of mint-red at the rims and device borders. Traces of original dirt show within subtle shades of light-olive and lilac, and marks are minor and grade-consistent. The CACG holder is hand-signed by Seth Chandler, co-founder of CAC Grading. Among the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins (#67 in 6th edition).
