1955 Doubled Die Cent, MS62 Brown
Iconic Die Error, CAC

1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS62 Brown NGC. CAC. The 1955 FS-101 cent is celebrated for its dramatic die doubling and remains a hallmark variety of the Lincoln cent series. Colored in satiny chocolate-brown patina with extremely faint peripheral nuances of original mint copper, this key date example features distinctive doubling on the date and obverse lettering. The fields appear relatively unabraded, and only slight handling marks on design elements and minor carbon on the obverse bottom right edge limit the grade. A well-earned approval from CAC confirms the quality of this delightful coin.
