Description
Charming 1955 Doubled Die Cent, MS64 Brown
1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC. FS-101, formerly FS-021.8. Delightful luster radiates from the medium brown surfaces. The fields are virtually pristine, and only a few minor marks on the devices preclude a higher grade. The 1955 doubled die ranks as one of the most famous U.S. coin varieties, and is known even among many non-collectors. This sharply struck example would make an excellent representative of this sought-after error.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2825, Greysheet# 2165)
