Doubled Die Obverse
1972 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS67+ Red PCGS. The
Cherrypickers' Guide lists nine different varieties of Doubled Die
Obverse 1972 cents, but FS-101 is the Guide Book variety
most in demand by collectors. The obverse legends exhibit a spread
that approaches the famous 1955 FS-101. The present crisply struck
Superb Gem offers booming luster and unabraded orange-red surfaces.
As of (4/19), PCGS has certified only 2 pieces as MS67+ Red, with
