Bright Superb Gem Red 1983 Doubled Die Reverse Cent
1983 1C Doubled Die Reverse MS67 Red PCGS. FS-036. The doubling on the reverse is quite pronounced on all of the lettering. The coloration is bright, original orange-pink. Both sides show extensive, nongrade-affecting "pebbling" from the Mint-made tiny trapped gas bubbles present beneath the copper-plating, as always seen on this issue. One of only 27 pieces so graded in MS67 Red, with none finer (6/08).(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22HW, PCGS# 3056, Greysheet# 2269)
