Guide Book Rarity

1992 1C Close AM, FS-901, MS64 Red PCGS. The U.S. Mint intended 1993 as the release date for a new design subtype on Lincoln cents. Among minor changes, the FG initials were spaced further from the Lincoln Memorial, and the letters AM in AMERICA were placed very close together. But a small number of 1992 and 1992-D cents are known from Close AM dies. Schechter and Garrett list both varieties as #38 in their 2011 Top 100 reference.
