Description

1909-S VDB Cent, MS66 Red and Brown
Key First-Year Lincoln Issue

1909-S 1C VDB MS66 Red and Brown PCGS. Graded Red and Brown by PCGS but clearly leaning toward the Red and of the color spectrum. Only faint chestnut wisps over each side prevent a full Red designation. This key-date Lincoln cent is well-struck and satiny. Much of each side is golden-orange in color and free of abrasions and carbon spotting. Eye appeal is excellent for the grade. Population: 87 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown, 1 finer (8/19).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22B2, PCGS# 2427, Greysheet# 1800)

Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
