    1911 Cent, MS67 Red
Among the Top Four Coins at CAC
    Green Label Holder

1911 1C MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. Plentiful in lower grades, the 1911 Lincoln cent is distinctly rare in MS67 Red. By 1911, the novelty of the Lincoln cent had worn off, and high-grade pieces were saved in smaller quantities than in 1909 and 1910. As a result, the scarcity of the 1911 in this grade is akin to that of some branch mint issues from the period. PCGS and NGC combined report merely 18 coins in MS67 and MS67+ Red, with a lone MS68 Red PCGS example finer. CAC lists only three pieces in MS67 and one finer. The Duckor coin, one of the four CAC coins, is of exceptional quality for the grade and issue. It is equal to the specimens in two of the top five current PCGS Registry Sets, and it surpasses the specimens in two of the others. Luster beams uniform reddish-gold color, complementing sharp devices and exceptional preservation. The green label holder adds to the appeal. Population: 17 in 67 (3 in 67+) Red, 1 finer. CAC: 18% of a total 17 submissions for this issue/grade passed. 3 in 67, 1 finer (2/20).
