Description

1911 Lincoln Cent, MS67 Red
Even Red Color Throughout

1911 1C MS67 Red PCGS Secure. The 1911 is not a rare issue among early Lincolns; indeed its mintage of 101 million pieces suggests quite the opposite. But few collectors have ever seen a 1911 at this level of preservation and with intact color as seen on this piece. The red color has a hint of yellow in it, much the same as 1909-S cents do, and the luster is uniform in appearance over each side. The strike is complete throughout. One bagmark is noted at the top of the reverse. Undoubtedly a coin of great interest to Registry Set collectors. Population: 16 in 67 (2 in 67+) Red, 1 finer (10/18).(Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22B7, PCGS# 2443, Greysheet# 1729)
